40 Photography Prizes, Grants, and More!

Welcome to the May edition of our opportunities roundup, where we share the best open calls and awards open to photographers right now. This month: 30 photographers or lens-based artists will receive $6,000 grants (each) for new work created in the last three years. One woman or non-binary photographer will earn $10,000 to support an ongoing documentary project. 

European photographers over the age of 60 will be eligible for a prize of £60,000, and elsewhere, one portrait photographer will take home £15,000. Plus, the Eddie Adams Workshop—an event that has previously brought together pioneers such as Mary Ellen Mark, Gordon Parks, Eugene Richards, and Maggie Steber—will return this year in person.
