Amazon Assignment Photo Contest
YACHAK Yerba Mate, in partnership with One Tree Planted, will send one photographer to document tree planting in a remote area in Brazil. The winner, selected by the photographer Ami Vitale, will receive an award of $25,000, a private mentorship with Vitale, a trip to the Amazon. “Our winning photographer will spend up to two weeks embedded in Acre, Brazil alongside a local guide,” the team shares. Applications close on September 12th.
PhMuseum Women Photographers Grant
As part of the 6th edition of the PhMuseum Women Photographers Grant, the curated platform is offering $10,000 in cash prizes–including $5,000 for the 1st Prize Winner–screenings at the PhotoVogue Festival, solo exhibitions at the Noorderlicht Photofestival in the Netherlands and PhMuseum Lab in Italy, portfolio, reviews, a featured interview in Vogue Italia, and more. Female and non-binary photographers are welcome to apply through the deadline on October 5th.
Fall 2022 Magnum Foundation Fellowship
As part of this Fellowship, the Magnum Foundation is providing stipends, mentorship, and arts administration experience for early-career photographers. “During the fellowship, fellows produce an in-depth project local in New York City that demonstrates a commitment to social issues and community based work,” the Foundation shares. The Fellowship is designed for New York-based photographers; it runs for twelve weeks and comes with a stipend of $500 per week. Applications are due by September 15th.
