Welcome to the February edition of our opportunities roundup! This time around, we have job openings at major corporations, institutions, and publications, plus open calls for exhibitions happening around the world, from Greece to Singapore and beyond. We’ve also rounded up dozens of awards offering cash prizes, coveted portfolio review slots, and inclusion in international festivals. Consider this your one-stop shop for submissions this month.

We’ll also be featuring more opportunities in our brand new Discord along with talking about NFTs, photo news, inspiration + more. Be the first to join us.

Review Santa Fe: Portfolio Reviews

CENTER in Santa Fe is now accepting submissions for their premier juried portfolio review event, happening in November. The package includes portfolio reviews, inclusion in the Photographers Listing, participation in the Portfolio Walk, and access to presentations, panel discussions, and more.  “Scholarships and payment plans are available for application to invited photographers,” the team shares. The final submission deadline is February 27th.

$5,000 Project Launch Grant from CENTER

As part of their annual calls for entry, all closing on February 27th, CENTER is also accepting submissions for their $5,000 Project Launch Grant, providing financial support to a complete or nearly completed documentary project or fine art series. The juror is Grace Deveney, the David C. & Sarajean Ruttenberg Associate Curator of Photography & Media at the Art Institute of Chicago.

Outdoor Exhibitions at Photoville

Photoville is accepting proposals from independent photographers, visual artists, artist-led collectives, non-profit organizations, and companies for outdoor exhibitions. “For independent visual artists and collectives that do not have institutional support, Photoville will cover the exhibition production costs, and will also provide an honorarium to the participating artists,” the team shares.

“For non-profit organizations and commercial entities, a financial or in-kind contribution will be assessed for each individual exhibition proposal and range from $3,000 – $20,000 (potentially more for commercial sponsors).” Proposals are due on March 4th.
